Power of Produce
Power of Produce (PoP) Empowers youth with knowledge of seasonal fruits and veggies at local farmers markets. To find out more about the program, please head over to our Pop page!
Classroom Aquaponics
This program (CAP) allows us to Install 10-gallon systems in classrooms across Fayette County and Central KY as well as conduct mini-aquaponics workshops with kids teaching them about sustainable agriculture.
Farm to School
Farm to School works to provide education about local food systems and Kentucky agriculture, increase hands-on activities in school gardens, and bring local food into school cafeterias in Fayette County.
Tabling & Science Nights
We bring scaled down and easily replicable aquaponics systems to science nights and other educational events at schools and events, providing interactive learning experiences for everyone!
Summer Food Service Program
Summer Food Service Program ensures that youth who qualify for free and reduced lunch in the community will have access to lunch during summer break.
Back to School
Increasing access to local food and school supplies by attending back to school rallies. Helping youth, teens, and their families prepare for the upcoming school year with fruits and veggies!
Get Involved
FoodChain’s Teaching and Processing Kitchen is a place for any person to feel welcome, a place to come learn about and share good food with good people. The Kitchen encourages creativity and craft, and is a fun place to meet a smiling face.
