Anne English

Board Member

Originally from Whitesburg, Kentucky, Anne has lived in Lexington most of her life. She attended Furman University in South Carolina for her undergraduate degree, then returned to Lexington to attend the University of Kentucky College of Law.

As she underwent various treatments for a chronic autoimmune condition in 2015, she discovered that what she ate directly impacted her symptoms and quality of life. She strongly believes in increasing food education and access to fresh foods.

Anne practiced with two statewide law firms and clerked for two Federal Judges in the Eastern District of Kentucky before opening her law firm with her husband, Matt. They help families and small businesses plan for the future through estate planning and business advising.

Though she is a lawyer, she has finally broken the habit of starting every sentence with “wherein” or “therefore”. She loves running, camping, practicing yoga, and kayaking, despite being an absolute klutz. She also enjos reading a good book and spending time with her husband, son, and dog (a goat/Wookiee mix).
