Introducing HARVEST: A 21c Lexington and FoodChain Event!

FoodChain and 21c Lexington are joining together to combat food insecurity with a unique new event. HARVEST is a fabulous culinary event for foodies and lovers of fine contemporary art and music – to be held on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 7th at the gorgeous 21c MUSEUM HOTEL in downtown Lexington. FoodChain is proud to have the support of Republic Bank as Presenting Sponsor for HARVEST.

The evening will begin with a cocktail reception, featuring small bites crafted by the FoodChain culinary team, an open bar featuring curated cocktails by Lockbox mixologists, fine Kentucky bourbon, local beer, and wine.  Guests will be treated to live music from the Origins Jazz Series as they explore 21c’s contemporary art museum with current exhibitions, Seeing Now and Pillow Flight

The evening will include a four course dinner arranged by Executive Chef Nick Fisherkeller and his culinary team at Lockbox, highlighting fresh, locally sourced ingredients and produce from the FoodChain aquaponics farm, with the accompaniment of music by Origins Jazz Series.  The final course will be a dessert tasting plate collaboration between both culinary teams. The night includes access to a silent auction with top-shelf Kentucky bourbons, exclusive travel packages, and specialty items.

Proceeds from this event benefit FoodChain, a Lexington nonprofit founded in 2011 which forges links between community and fresh food through education and demonstration of sustainable food systems. FoodChain increases access to locally sourced, fresh food for everyone with their urban aquaponics farm, food literacy education programs, and direct food access provision.

21c Lexington: Occupying the historic Fayette National Bank Building in the heart of downtown, 21c Museum Hotel Lexington is an 88-room boutique hotel, contemporary art museum, and home to Lockbox restaurant.
